APOTROPIA is a duo formed in Rome, Italy, consisting of Antonella Mignone, dancer and visual artist, and Cristiano Panepuccia, visual artist and composer.
In 2003 they were involved in a road accident, the serious consequences of which prevented Antonella from dancing for a long time. Since then they have always been together.
APOTROPIA is the result of symbiosis and experimentation based on interconnections between performing arts and all forms of audiovisual expressions. Their videos, installations and live A/V performances are influenced by philosophical, anthropological and scientific themes with a focus on symbols, myths and cultures of mankind.
