Estudió filosofía y literatura en la Freie Universität en Berlín, y arte libre en las escuelas superiores de arte en Brunswick y Bremen. Maria Manasterny studied philosophy and literary studies at the Freie Universität Berlin and fine arts at the Kunsthochschule in Braunschweig and Bremen.
